I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Put sausages in the Varoma tray (I do four on the bottom going one way, and four on top going the other way.. Make sure there is enough room for steam to move around. Place apple, carrot and onion on the top steamer tray.
Make sure there are steamer holes to allow steam through.Weigh the rice into the simmering basket and rinse well. (The rice will get all the nice spices throughout it.. if you dont like your meal to be spicey, I would suggest cooking the rice seperately.
In the mixer bowl add remaining ingredients apart from the water and flour - Stir 10sec|Speed 1.
- Put simmering basket (with rice) in place. Pour in 850g water.Put steaming tray with sausages & veggies in place. Cook for 20mins|Varoma temp|Speed 3.
Remove the sausages. Put riceaside (or into a thermoserver to keep warm). Keep the liquids in the mixer bowl. It should be a nicely combined.
Insert butterfly.
Peel and slice sausages into desirable size.
Add sausages, apple, carrot, onion and flour mixed with a little water (make a slurry) to distribute evenly to the mixer bowl. Cook for 12mins|100deg|reverseslowest speed MC on.
Serve with rice

TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
