Ingredients
Favourite German mashpotato spinach cheese bake
- 500 g potatoes, Peeled, cut into pieces
- 125 g Milk, Full cream taste best
- 25 g Butter
- 1 pinches salt, To taste
- 1 pinch pepper, To taste
- 1 pinch Nutmeg, To taste
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce or Maggie, To taste
Cooked Mince
- 100 grams onions, quartered
- 1-2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 500 grams mince, preferred beef, pieces
- 1 pinch salt, to taste
- 1 pinch pepper, to taste
- 1 level tbsp Veg Stock Paste, Home made
creamy spinach
- 500 grams spinach, well washed, silverbeet, baby spinach, English spinach (Your choice)
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 25-30 grams Butter, unsalted
- 50 grams cream, whipping
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper, black preffered
bake it
- 200 grams cheese, mozarella, or tasty or gouda or mixed
- 20 grams Butter, for greasing
- 1 cloves garlic, for greasing, Optional

- Mash Potato
1. Place chopped potatoes straight into bowl with milk (if you double recipe 250ml milk!) .
2. cook for 15 minutes(if you double the potatoes cook for 25mins), 100 degrease, speed 1. By this time the potatoes will be soft and mushy. If they are not add another 2-3 mins.
3. add 25g of butter, salt, pepper, nutmeg, soy. !! for 20-30 seconds on Speed 3. start with 20 second mash and if still lumpy add 10 seconds, please NOOO longer than 30 seconds in total!!
Tip: For a creamier, more indulgent mash, use half cream, half milk, or all cream instead of milk. add parmesan or chieves or fried bacon for extra flavour. - 1. Place onions and garlic in mixing bowl then chop 5 sec/speed 5.
2. Add butter and, without measuring cup, sauté 5 min/120°C/speed 1.
3. Add any prefered mince, salt, pepper and veg stock paste, stir meat with spatula to break up mince (if necessary) then cook 5 min/120°C/speed 1. - 1. Place garlic and 250 g of the spinach (can be baby spinach or english spinach or silver beet) into mixing bowl and chop 4 sec/speed 6, with aid of spatula.
2. Add remaining 250 g spinach and chop 4 sec/speed 6, with aid of spatula.
3. Add butter and cook 2-3 min/100°C/speed 2 or until wilted.
4. Add cream, salt, pepper, nutmeg and cook 2mins/100degrees/speed , without measuring cup or until cream has reduced. - 1. grease a baking dish with butter and garlic and preheat oven 180 degrees
2. add mash first, then the mince, then the spinach on top
3. add cheese (Preffered mozarella or tasty cheese)
4. Bake for 20-25 mins. 180 degrees
5. if you prefer the cheese brown, use grill function for 1 min.
6. enjoy

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
