This is a very simple meal, which my 3-yr-old enjoys. My husband suggest serving this with potatoes or bread, but I find the couscous enough.
I also serve with parmesan.

I just made the sauce for pasta and it's really good but made a LOT! Got it in the freezer for "one of those nights"
The end result was very nice and my kids loved it (aged 5, 3 and 8 months). Even my husband devoured it. He said he could easily eat the whole bowl.
However, I don't think the recipe quantities are correct as the bowl would have overflowed if I'd added the 700g of water. I was able to put 300g of water in before the contents went above the max. fill line. With 400g of crushed tomato, 700g of passata and 700g water (plus the mince and onion etc), the bowl would definitely overflow. Add a packet of pearl cous-cous and the level increases. I triple-checked all the measures to make sure I'd not made an error.
Anyway, I added everything as the recipe stated except I only used 400g of water. Next time I would considered leaving out the water all together or maybe add just 100ml as the final mix was incredibly liquidy. I ended up running it through a strainer and was left with a nice bolognaise sauce.
It tasted very nice and made two meals for our family. I served steamed vegetables on the side. I will definitely make this again as it was quick and simple and pleased us all. I'd just be interested in seeing how other people went with the quantities listed?

This is yummy. Just wasn't sure how much pearl couscous to use, so I used 250g and that worked well. I also cooked it 3min longer to make the cous cous softer. It taste good with cheese too.
