Recipe's preparation

  1. Cut some baking paper to size for each varoma dish then wet it, crinkle it

andput some steam holes in it. Place in each varoma tray.

Get out your bacon pieces (I used shortcut as fits in varoma better but

can use longer pieces and just reduce amount of bacon/eggs to fit) and

place on the top tray.  Leave the bottom tray for the eggs (in the cupcake

moulds) or just mix it up how you like leaving space for the eggs.

  2. Put 1L of water in jug.  Put the varoma on top.

Turn tmx on to VAROMA, speed 3, 15mins.

  3. Crack each egg into an individual cupcake mould.

Add these into the varoma when it has 12mins to go.

  4. When meal has 2.5mins to go put your bread in the toaster.

It should pop just before your meal is ready.  Butter/margarine it,

put some spinach on top and then when tmx finishes top it with

bacon and an egg out of the cupcake mould (might need to run

blunt knife around the edge to get it out easy).

Salt and pepper on top if you wish and voila yummy breakfast!

Tip

If you want to use poached egg moulds they will only fit with the top tray of the varoma tray (not the lid) removed so of course then you could not cook as much but would do a nice meal for 1 person this way or 4 poached eggs by themselves...

Reduce the cooking time when cooking less, by at least 20%, and keep an eye on it to be sure!

Simply and clean way to poach eggs. Great  Thanks.  I used the poached egg part only, to add to a chicken cesar salad. I cooked 2 eggs in the bottom of the varoma immediatly after steaming the chicken. They steamed for 6 minutes only and they were perfect, still runny inside. I guess they cooked faster as I already had a steaming hot varoma and only 2 eggs.
