I added some leftover cheeses from when I make up platters (i keep them in the freezer in a container to put In cheese sauces or whatever, so they don't get wasted) at the end of cooking I added the cheeses and cooked an additional 3 minutes. Lovely and thick, this is my go to recipe. Have made it many times
Can be halved successfully, still did it for 9 minutes with the MC off for the last 2 mins
Perfect consistency, taste is lovely. Followed directions exactly.
Absolutely Amazing Recipe!
My MIL was making silverside and asked if I would make the 'white sauce'. I was dreading this meal as 'Corned Beef & White Sauce is not my idea of a delicious meal. Luckily I had my Thermie with me!
I Googled 'best ever Thermomix bechamel sauce' and this recipe came up - thank goodness. I loved everyone's suggestion of the added Parmesan and followed their lead....so glad I did - it was delicious.
The piece of silverside was sensational and this sauce just added to the meal's success.
Thank you for a great, easy recipe!
Perfect
I did what everyone else did and added 50g of Parmesan cheese and cooked it for an extra 2mins. No more standing at the stove for me.
💟
This sauce is so quick and easy. I have cooked a few times and added 50g parmesan and cooked a further 2 mins as others have suggested. It's always been perfect and such a great sauce base for many flavours. About to attempt a half batch for our Christmas morning Croque Madame. Thank you!
Perfect for lasagne!
Yumm!
Added 50g cheese like others. After the 7minutes I added left over shredded bbq chicken, some spinach & cooked on reverse for and extra 90seconds. Served over pasta 😋😋
So good! Incredibly easy, quick & tasty.
Love that it makes a large quantity because I used it as a base sauce for a big pot of curried prawns - which is always better the next day so I always have to make extra for leftovers! Just added 1 tablespoon of curry powder & a good amount of fresh cracked black pepper once the sauce was finished & it was perfect.
Won't be going back to the stovetop ever again, thanks for this recipe.
Delicious, nice and thick and smooth. I was like a kid with a cake mixture, I licked the bowl!
