Tip
Reserved Gravy Fat - keep this in a jar in your fridge and add to it from your different roasts. Use some of this fat to roast your vegetables or use instead of oil when pan frying. The flavours are amazing and will keep for a long time in the fridge.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

I used all juices (as it was from a pot roast - not really concentrated flavours) and a 1/2 teaspoon of herb salt. Perfect consistency. Also added in some garlic that I cooked whole in with the roast.
Matoos5 is correct the base needs to be good for the gravy to be good. I added a couple of herbs and the consistency of the gravy was good. My first try to make a gravy in my thermi and I was happy with the result
My juices left over from the roast were obviously not seasoned enough because my gravy turned out watery and tasteless. I ended up adding seasoning and cornflour.
yummy
