Ingredients

Chicken Balls

  • 10 grams coriander
  • 2 spring onions
  • 500 grams chicken mince
  • 100 grams breadcrumbs
  • 15 grams fish sauce
  • 30 grams Sweet chilli sauce

Dipping sauce

  • Sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 Lime, juice of

Recipe's preparation

    Chicken balls
  1. Cut spring onions in half and use the whiter end. Cut into largeish peices and add to TM bowl with coriander. Chop 2 sec / speed 7. Scrape down sides of bowl.

    Add chicken mince, breadcrumbs, fish sauce and sweet chilli sauce. mix 20 sec /speed 4 Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" .

    Roll in walnut sized balls and cook in two batches in a frypan on low to med heat ensuring all sides are cooked. Shaking the pan ensures even cooking. Serve warm with dipping sauce.

     

  2. Sauce.....

    Mix the juice of 1 lime with 1/3 cup of sweet chilli sauce

    Everybody loved these! Easy to make - I served with a sweet chilli sauce mixed with a bit of soy sauce.

    These were really yum thanks! I only got 24 out of the mixture though....maybe I rolled them too big!

    I also used the trick in another recipe of placing the balls in mini muffin pans and baking in the oven for 15 mins at 200 degrees. Just the same result and taste as frying in the pan and much easier!

    The almond meal and baking is a great idea! I'll have to try it. I may even use quinoa flakes next time for an bit of extra nutrition. Glad you enjoyed them!
