Tip
If the custard is ready & thick enough by 7-8 minutes, use straight away.
Don't wait for the custard to be cold before adding the cinnamon. It must be done as soon as the custard is put into the biscuit base.
This recipe will make a large amount of filling - be prepared with an extra biscuit base.
Don't place in the fridge while it's still steaming, wait for it to cool down.

Thank you for sharing this recipe. It is so easy and quick to make. I made the sweetened condensed milk in the Thermomix also. It sets beautifully and we were fighting over the last piece. Delicious!
I have made this twice now with a Lotus Biscoff base. The flavour combo is amazing!! (I had to tweak the biscoff base to get the right texture, the biscuit is already quite buttery so doesn't need as much butter)...
Meg1987: Not without the custard splitting when you defrost it. So would not recommend to freeze it.
Breidy: Yes it is the original way to use shortcrust pastry. This is a quick, lazy method to use tennis biscuits
A regular in our house. Everyone loves it!
Oh my, very easy and family love it. Thank you
Alli-J: I used a 15ml tablespoon
Hi would a shortcrust pastry work as the base for this? I'd love to try recipe today but have no biscuits? TY.
Hi can this be frozen?
My biscuit base was very moist/wet. Is that normal and will it still turn out ok?
