Ingredients

Buns

  • 65 grams caster sugar
  • 110 grams Milk
  • 50 grams water
  • 2 teaspoons dried yeast
  • 400 grams plain flour (not bakers)
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 50 grams Butter
  • 1 egg
  • 100 grams sultanas

Syrup

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water

Recipe's preparation

    Buns
  1. 1. Add milk, water, sugar and yeast into bowl and heat 2min/37degrees/sp1 (remember your milk is cold from fridge)


    2. Add flour, mixed spice, cinnamon, butter, egg, vanilla and mix 6 secs/speed 7, then knead 3 mins/Closed lid/dough mode


    3. Add sultanas and mix 10 secs/counter-clockwise operation/speed 5


    4. Wrap in thermomat or put in bowl and cover with teatowel and proof for 30 mins (until doubled in size)


    5. Knock down dough and devide into 12 equal-sized pieces. Form into rolls and place on baking tray lined with baking paper. Allow to proof for further 15mins.


    6. Preheat oven 220 degrees.


    7. Cook for 10 to 15 mins or until done.

  3. 1. Place water and sugar into mixing goal and cook 2min/100degrees/speed 4.


    2. Brush onto buns while still warm.

Tip

Omit the sultanas if you want.

You can also ice with traditional icing with hundreds and thousands or coconut.
