1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C and line 2 baking trays with greaseproof paper. Combine butter and peanut butter in TM bowl and beat 30 seconds speed 5
2. Add in sugars and beat a further 20 seconds speed 5
3. Add vanilla & egg and beat another 30 seconds speed 5
4. FInally add in flour, bicarb soda, baking powder and salt and mix a further 30 seconds speed 5
5. Roll ~1 tblspn dough into balls and flatten slightly, then cook at 180 degrees for 10 minutes. If going on to decorate as spiders, remove from oven at 10 minutes and press a small indent into the middle of each biscuit to allow the Malteser to sit comfortably, then return to the oven for another 6-10 minutes until golden brown
6. Cool on trays for a few minutes then place on wire racks to cool completely
Melt chocolate and pipe thin strips over top of biscuits to form the spiders' legs (see picture for huide). Place a Malteser into the middle of each biscuit, then use chocolate to adhere lolly eyes to the top of the ball
