Recipe's preparation

    Directions
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Line a slice tray with baking paper.

    2. Add butter to your jug and melt 2mins/80deg/spd2.

    3. Add in the flour, coconut, brown sugar and weetbix and mix for 20secs/spd4.

    4. Scrape down the sides and repeat 20secs/spd4.

    5. Pour mixture into slice tin and press it down very firmly with the back of a spoon. It is a crumbly mixture so needs to be pressed well.

    6. Bake for 20 minutes, or until light golden.

    7. Let slice cool completely in slice tin.

    8. Once cooled, melt chocolate and top slice. You can use a buttercream icing instead if you like.

Tip

We love to use white chocolate as the topping, but you can use any chocolate you like, or even buttercream icing.

Be sure to press it into the slice tray very firmly.

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Great recipe! I used this as a base to make a fruit and nut slice (added apricts, sultanas and almonds) and it turned out great. ALso added a bit of honey towards the end of the butter melting.

Smelling delicious in the oven cooking as I type.  I've made a version with cocoa in it and with chocolate buttercream and the kids love it! White chocolate will lift up another notch!!!
