Ingredients

CARAMEL SCROLLS / BUNS

  • 290 grams full cream milk, warmed
  • 3 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 600 grams plain flour
  • 1 --- egg
  • 1 heaped tablespoons mixed spice
  • ground nutmeg
  • ground cinnamon
  • white sugar
  • brown sugar
  • salt
  • Butter, softened
  • icing sugar
  • full cream milk

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add milk, yeast, brown sugar, olive oil. Mix 2mins, 37 degrees, soft.
  2. Let sit for 5 mins.
  3. Add flour, egg, mixed spice. Mix 16 seconds speed 6.
  4. Using the dough mode and knead for 2.5 mins.
  5. Sit the Thermomix with the lid loosened for 20-30 mins.
  6. Roll out on thermomat and spread softened butter and put a mix of cinnamon, brown sugar, white sugar, nutmeg & a dash of salt. Spread thick.
  7. Roll up and cut into scrolls. Put in a greased tin/baking tray and let sit until doubled in size.
  8. Cook at 180 degrees for 15-18 mins or until lightly browned.
  9. Mix Icing to drizzle over cooled scrolls. Butter, vanilla, some milk and a dash of salt.

    In the preparatoion it says to add the milk and yeast, brown sugar etc
    However, I can't see how much yeast to use..... have I missed it somewhere?
