I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
1. Preheat oven to about 190 degrees celcius. Line a baking tray with baking paper
2. Place pepitas, chia, water and salt into mixing bowl and blend 20 sec/speed 9. Every 2 to 3 seconds, stop the machine and scrape down sides of bowl and lid. Continue with this process until a paste is formed
3. Scrape paste onto prepared baking tray and flatten with a spatula until a thickness of between 1/2 to 1 cm is reached
4. Place into pre-heated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the bread is springy to the touch. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes
Tip
I generally flatten my bread to about half a cm. If you want a thicker style bread, it may need to be baked for longer. This flat bread is delicious straight out of the oven and is ideal for dipping in olive oil and salt. It also toasts really well.
To use this as a quiche base, simply grease a quiche dish and press the paste around the base and sides of the dish. Blind bake the base for a few minutes before adding your preferred quiche mixture.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Thanks for trying my recipe thermobronman. So glad that you liked it! Stay tuned as there will be more recipes to come - especially low carb ones
This is an amazing alternative to crackers! I spread it really thin using a spatula (like those ones you can use to ice a cake). Delicious! GF and low carb to boot! This will be a regular in my house, quick and easy to prepare.
I made this tonight and it was absolutely delish! Perfect for a healthy LCHF/Keto/Banting/Low Carb option.
