I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Put water, sugar and yeast into TM bowl and stir 1min/37deg/sp1
Add egg, flours, and salt and knead 2min
Oil varoma dish if not using a loaf tin. If using a loaf tin, oil the tin.
If not using loaf tin - Remove dough and form into loaf shape and place in varoma leaving holes free for steam to come through.
If using loaf tin - Remove dough and place in loaf tin.
Put 1.5L water in TM bowl
Place varoma with loaf in it on top of the bowl and steam 20min/varoma/sp1 or until bread is ready.
Allow the bread to cool before slicing
Tip
If you don't have wheat to mill into flour you can just use plain flour in it's place.
Seeds and grains can be easily added into this bread to make it more flavoursome and healthy. I often add in linseeds

This was a great recipe. I never expected this to be nice to be honest, but it was great. I had some leftover, but the next day wasn't as great, but if using same day- it's a really great bread - and SO fast!!! Definitely in my favorite list!!
I wasn't sure about this recipe but it was fantastic! I made 9 buns using this recipe.
I used white spelt flower and it did not work in the steamer
A nice change from baked bread and very fast to do. I found it a little salty for my taste so will use less salt next time. But otherwise very happy with it. Thanks Aimee.
