Really lovely! I used GF flour & 370g hot water with 3 spoons of coffee powder dissolved into it., then cooled slightly. Great cake, thank you
I used 375g of hot coffee...I assumed it didn't mean 375g of coffee powder. Perhaps that's why my cake was so dense?
Is that 375 grams of coffee instant coffee ?
The cake texture is very dense and very moist - almost like a heavy mouse/cheesecake/blancmange. Just wondering if that is per the recipe or if I made a mistake? It seems more "flourless", despite the fact I used the self raising flour. The outside was cooked nicely. The taste is lovely, although I think I could have used even stronger coffee.
15 minutes into the 1 hour baking time...I'm so excited about this cake! The mixture tastes yummy so fingers crossed I get it right...
