Homemade Apple Pie

  • 600 grams granny smith apples, Peeled and chopped
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 litres water
  • 150 grams walnuts
  • 200 grams rolled oats
  • 100 grams brown sugar
  • 250 grams unsalted butter, diced
  • 1 sheets Puff pastry, Alternatively you could make your own recipe

Recipe's preparation

  1. Pre heat your oven to 180degrees

    Grease your dish i use a 93cm round pie dish.
  2. Fill your bowl with 1lts of water. Placing the simmering basket inside and weigh out your peeled and chopped apples into basket. Sprinklethe brown sugar over apples. Shut basket and place lid without measuring cup on.

  3. Remove basket and discard of water. Tip Steamed apples into the bowl placing on the lid with measuring cup.

    You are wanting the apples to be chopped with still a few little lumps is ok.
  4. Placing your puff sheet pastry into your dish our out apples and spread evenly.
  5. Wash and dry bowl/ Grab second bowl.
  6. Place your walnuts, rolled oats, sugar and butter into the bowl. Placing on lid with measuring cup.

  7. Using spatula remove ingrediants from the bowl onto the top of your apples. It is meant to be crumbly but will come together once you even out and push out to the sides.
  8. Please in the ovan and cook for 35 minutes or until pasty is cooked and crumble on top is looking golden.

Tip

You could add saultans to pureed apple.
