Ingredients

  • 2 fillets chicken, I use thigh, and use pre cooked. Either left overs or cook them before making the rest.
  • 50 grams Parmesan cheese
  • 1 l onion, Quartered
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 bacon rashers roughly sliced or chopped
  • 40 grams olive oil
  • 10 grams Butter
  • 320 grams Basmati or Jasmine rice
  • 500 grams water
  • 1 tablespoon TM veggie stock paste, Can use 500ml vegetable stock Pre made from supermarket if you dont have.. Just remove water from recipe
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 package Frozen spinach, Or 2 Large Handfulls fresh Spinach leaves1/2
  • 150 grams Tasty cheese, Grate this at start if using a block

Recipe's preparation

  1. Grate Parmesan Cheese

    2 sec/ Speed 8. More if needed. Set aside

    Grate tasty cheese

    10 sec/ Speed 8.More if needed. Works better whe cheese is really cold. Set aside.

  2. Place Onion, Garlic and Bacon into TM Bowl and chop 

    5 sec/ Speed 5.

    Scrape down sides

  3. Add Butter and oil. Saute

    3 mins/Varoma/Speed 1. MC Removed

  4. Add Rice. and Saute

    3 mins/ Varoma/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" / Speed 1. MC Removed

  5. Add Water, Cream, Stock, and seasoning. Cook 10 mins/100 degrees/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" / Speed 1. MC Removed and replaced with simmering basket.

  6. Add Chicken (cooked) and Spinach using spatula to submerge and cook

    3mins/100 degrees/ Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /Speed 1. MC Removed and simmering basket on.

  7. Add Grated Tasty cheese. Mix

    2mins/100degrees/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /Speed 1.

    Poor into Thermoserver, add Parmesan Cheese and stir.. Allow to rest for 5-10 mins before serving.

Tip

Really nice with peas, corn and carrots too. mushrooms can be added.. Very versatile recipe. Have a play with it.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
