Ingredients

Taco Meat

  • 500-600 g gravy beef, Whole
  • 1 sachet Old El Paso Taco Seasoning
  • water

Sides

  • 1 package Taco Shells/Tortillas, Warmed
  • 2 tomatoes, Diced
  • 1/4 Lettuce, Sliced
  • 100 g Tasty cheese, Grated

Salsa

  • 1 onion, peeled & halved
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 300 g tomatoes, ripe
  • 85 g Capsicum
  • 25 g corriander, whole
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • pepper, to taste

Recipe's preparation

    Easy Taco Meat
  1. Place the meat in the Thermomix as is but down the bottom.

  2. Cover the meat with enough water so that it is under it by around 1cm

  3. Add the 1/2 of the seasoning

  4. Set the TM31 to Varoma and Speed 1-2 for 30 minutes (Place the basket over the hole to the the water evaporate a little bit.

  5. After 30 minutes break the meat up a little bit with the spatula and add the rest of the seasoning.

  6. Put back on Varoma at Speed 1 for a further 10 minutes.

  7. Once completed run on speed 7-8 for a few seconds until the meat is stringy.

  8. Serve hot.

  10. 1. Place onion and garlic into TM bowl and chop for 10 seconds on speed 7

  11. 2. Add oil and slaute for 2 minutes at 100 degrees on speed 2

  12. 3. Add remaining ingredients and set dial to Closed lid"Closed lid" . Pulse on turbo 3-4 times until desired consistency is reached

  13. 4. Cook for 10 minutes at Varoma temp on speed 2

  14. 5. Set aside and allow to cool

Tip

If you wish to add some more flavour try putting 4 bean mix or sweat corn into the Thermo Server and add the meat on top.
We also made up the salsa that is on the Thermomix website. Tasted really good.
For more spice add the full packet of Taco Seasoning!

    I'm  honestly not sure as we have never tried it. Flavour wise I dont see why not, just not sure for the cooking time and temps. Sorry not much help
