Recipe's preparation

    Hainanese Chicken
  1. 1. Wash the chicken and pat dry.
    2. Rub generously with salt around the chicken and in the cavity.
    3. Stuff some slices of ginger and garlic in the cavity.
    4. Place the chicken in the varoma with a varoma trivet to make sure the steaming holes are not all cover. This ensures good air circulation for steaming.
    5. Put 1.5l of water in the mixing bowl
    6. Place simmering basket with carrots in the mixing bowl.
    7. Cover the lid and place the varoma on top. 30mins/ varoma/ speed 3.
    8. Check whether the chicken is cook through or not. Lengthen the time if not.
    9. Once done, remove the chicken and rub it with sesame oil and salt when it’s hot.
    10. Chop it and serve.
