Ingredients

Satay Chicken

  • 1/2 large onion, Peeled and halved
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 30 grams olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 800 grams chicken breast, diced
  • 25 grams soy sauce
  • 1/2 --- lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 30 grams honey
  • 200g tablespoons crunchy peanut butter
  • 350ml can coconut cream

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. 1. Chop onion and garlic 3 seconds/speed 5
    2. Add oil and and curry powder and sauté 2 mins/Varoma/speed 1
    3. Insert Butterfly whisk and cook chicken for 5 mins/100C/speedGentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" .
    3. Add the remaining ingredients and cook for 20 mins/100C/ Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"


    Use cornflour to thicken if required during last 5 minutes of cooking.

    Serve with rice.

Tip

Please note the sauce is quite runny. You can cook with the measuring cup out (place rice basket on the lid instead) or add some cornflour at the end.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
