made it last night was yummo. hubby loved it.
I made this for the second time last night. The first time it came out great, last night was a little stodgy. I think it's my oven, maybe not hot enough and not cooked for long enough. Not that it stopped Miss 15 from wolfing it down
The batter was very dense not airie and fluffy - could have been my oven - maybe
made this and cooked for 25 mins. Was yummy. Thanks
Angie
Very quick and easy meal. I found the batter a bit dry but all in all a good recipe.
Very quick and easy and nice winter warmer dish - 16 year old son loved it
Hi Jess, glad your family enjoyed.
I have browned onions with the sausages before and added them into the baking dish, it works really well, and I love it like that! however my kids don't so we compromise and have the onions in the gravey so they can pick them out
Hi, I think it could of been 1 of 2 things. Your oven just wasn't hot enough or if it was nice and brown on the top, maybe to hot and the outside cooked to quick for the inside. I have made this loads of times, usually the mix around the outside is very light and crisp and in between the sausages more dence, but definitely not stodgy. Hope you do try again, it's one of our family favs
This was nice, the family enjoyed it. The batter was a little thick in some places, so i might add a couple more sausages next and maybe even some onion and garlic to the batter.
Jess
I made this tonight, the batter turned out stodgy. Could somebody tell me what went wrong please?
