Brilliant thanks heaps. Have adjusted to family tastes by substituting honey for 200g raw sugar and diddn't add extra water to thicken sauce. As with Godsie I blended rather than straining. My kids have sensory difficulties so to find a home made tomato sauce is fantastic, thank you.

Made this one tastes great.  Tried straining as per recipie and ended up with red water.  Blitzed it for approx 90sec speed 10, thick and creamy with no bits to distract the kids.

making this now, it smells great but has boiled over once, had to drop the temp and increase the time and it's still a very runny, followed recipe to a tee so not sure what went wrong

This tastes amazing but it does only yield a small amount, especially when you strain out all the un-kid friendly stuff  tmrc_emoticons.;) It would have filled 1/8t of a 1L bottle. Next time I will make multiple batches & pulverise the life out of it so the kids can't see anything they don't like.
