I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1.  Place rice into the TM basket and rinse thoroughly.   Add water and 10 grams of olive oil to TM bowl and insert basket

    2.  Pierce each of the sausages with a knife/fork a couple of times and place in Varoma and Varoma tray

    3.  Place Varoma into position and cook for 20mins - Varoma temperature, speed 2

    4.  Remove Varoma and basket - place rice into a Thermoserver and allow sausages to cool a little before cutting to desired size

    5.  Discard water from TM bowl.  Add garlic to TM bowl and chop 3 secs on speed 5

    6.  Add onions and lock TM lid and turbo once or twice to get chunky onion pieces (or cut by hand to your preferred size)

     7. Add remaining olive oil and curry powder to bowl and saute for 3 mins - Varoma temperature speed soft

     8.  Add apple slices and saute for a further 3 mins, Varoma temperature, speed 1 reverse

     9.  Add mixture of water/stock, then flour and cook for 5mins - 100degrees, speed 1 reverse

     10.  Add cut sausages and sultanas to TM bowl and cook for a further 5mins - 100degrees, reverse speed soft

Tip

You may need to vary the amount of curry depending on your taste - 3 teaspoons wasn't too hot for my kids, my husband would probably have preferred four tmrc_emoticons.)

You might also want to add more sultanas depending on your preference.

Great cheap and cheerful family dinner.

I added capsicum, skinned zucchini and carrot for veggies, with ThermoFun Curry Blend.

2 kids went back for 2nds and 3rds!

Great weeknight dinner. I'd personally cook the apple and sultanas for longer next time but it's more of a personal preference. Thanks for an easy to follow recipe

Made this a couple a times now. I added carrots & celery and left out the sultanas and served with mashed potato.  Great family meal  tmrc_emoticons.)

My family loved this.  I added celery and carrots with the onions then 4 tsp of curry powder-it was spicy but good. Will be making this again.

I was not disappointed with this recipe. We all really enjoyed it.

I skipped the whole first step as I used left over sausages and served on rice noodles. Also added celery, carrots & mushrooms when cooking the onions. Also added extra water as I like mine a little runnier.

    Will definately make again!

We are new to Thermo cooking and my daughter cooked it with ease! We had not used the varoma steamer or basket before, so we were impressed with how it all worked. It was just like the old curried snags we have cooked forever but less time consuming!  Cooking 9

Was expecting something amazing but alas didn't really like it too much . Bit too thick and didn't really like the flavour . It wasn't totally gross though .
