Recipe's preparation

Pork Spare Ribs Cooked in the Bowl
  1. Chop garlic for 3 seconds on speed 7.  Scrape down sides of bowl.

Add all other ingredients (except spare ribs) and mix fo 10 seconds on speed 6.

Add spare ribs, stir with spatula to coat with sauce, and cook on Varoma temperature for 25 minutes, reverse stir Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" .

Serve and drizzle with remaining sauce.

Tip

I use spare ribs which have had the bone removed

For a more intense flavour, marinate ribs in the sauce for 2 to 24 hours.

You can also cook veggies (fresh or frozen) in the Varoma while the ribs are cooking, just be sure to calculate the right time to add them based on the cooking time required for each vegetable.  If they need to be chopped first, make sure you do this before preparing the sauce.

Leftover sauce can be frozen or refrigerated for later use.  Use it for another batch of ribs, to coat chicken wings, or as a pizza sauce.

Sprinking cooked ribs with toasted sesame seeds adds a nice flavour.

Such a quick and tasty meal. I wasn’t sure which type of paprika to use so I ended up using smoked. Has anyone tried sweet? I served mine with rice and steamed up a bag of fresh stir fry vegetables in the Varoma while cooking the meat. It looked like I went to heaps of trouble when I didn’t! Wink Thank you.

Made this tonight, absolutely beautiful. I halved sauce ingredients & cut pork belly into 5cm or so pieces & they cooked to perfection! I did not cut any skin or fat off pork belly just cut them into pieces!

Will keep this recipe as a favourite, thanks for sharing on RC. Cheers tmrc_emoticons.)

Love love love this recipe. It's a big hit with the family. I have been able to put more ribs in than the recipe says which is great as I would have to do two batches. The sauce is soooooo good and I will definitely try it on pizzas too! Thank you

I love ribs and was excited to give these a go. Buuuuut they were really disappointing. They were rubbery and lacked flavor. They were also really expensive for something we ended up throwing away. Not a 5 star dish tmrc_emoticons.-(
