Not sure why but mine is like soup. Is it initially like a soup base and over time thickens up.

this is SO yummy! I work with a lot of Sri Lankan people and we have a brekky every morning.  Have just made this with some more adaptions for extra flavour and it's gorgous - we love heat at work so added a bit more chilli and some pandan (amazing flavour) and a few extras tmrc_emoticons.;-) Thank you for making it possible to make in the TM!

What a delicious and easy lentil dIsh!  I used a pre mixed Sri Lankan curry mix and added a tablespoon of that. I only had red chillis, which I substituted for green.  When I added the salt, I added the juice of one lime and stirred through fresh coriander.  It was a really nice healthy, super easy dinner!  Will probably add one more chilli next time.  Thanks for sharing!

Yum, creamy and very flavoursome. I followed the recipe suggested by allykatblue for the curry powder, and it was delicious.

This was very yummy, I had to improvise for the Sri Lankan curry as I didn't have any. Found a recipehttp://www.wikihow.com/Make-Sri-Lankan-Curry-Powder  which I adjusted to suit the spices I already had in the cupboard. I served with rice and a plate of sliced fresh salad veg (as I used to be given with meals in India). I also squeezed some lime wedges over my serving as I felt it needed a bit of acid.

I use coconut milk instead of coconut cream.  Just as good with less heart risk!

    Hi Nila,

I was wondering if you had any other Sri Lankan recipes converted for TM? My husband is Sri Lankan and loved the dhal. Now he wants me to try milk sweet or potato sweet in the TM (bit scared lol). Thank you
