Ingredients

Bread crumb and chesse topping

  • 75 g comte cheese
  • 75 g bread crumbs
  • 10 g Butter

Bechamel sauce

  • 90 g flour, plain
  • 60 g Butter, cold is fine
  • 750 g Milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • to taste white pepper, freshlly ground
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg, freshly grated

Onions and zucchini

  • 3/4 stick Butter
  • 3 large onions, cut in half and sliced thinly
  • 450 g zucchini, sliced 1/4" thick

Recipe's preparation

    Grind cheese
  1. Cut cheese into a few pieces, add to TM bowl and grind speed 6 for12 seconds. Set aside. No need to clean bowl.

  2. Prepare Bechamel sauce
  3. Place all ingredients for Bechamel sauce in TM bowl. Cook 9 mins/90c/speed 4. Set aside

  4. Cook onions and zucchini
  5. Place onion slices in TM bowl with butter and cook for 20 mins/90c/reverse speed 2. Meanwhile, place zucchini slices in top level of the Varona. They do not have to fit perfectly. Place Varona on top of TM bowl to steam the zucchini for the last 7-8 minutes of the cooking onions.  

  6. Assemble and bake
  7. Place onions and zucchini in a large baking dish, Pour Bechamel sauce over vegetables and mix gently. Spread bread crumb and chese mixture on top. Sprinkle with dots of butter. Bake about 20 minuutes until top is brown and bubbly.
