Yum double batch made up of red green capsicums and 250 tomatoes. Left out water as tomatoes have enough. Cooked for 50mins perfect consistency made one large jar and a bit. Also put 2 large fresh chillis in and skipped the flakes. Perfect amm of heat. Thanks!
Made it for the first time today it was really good although too hot for me!! I would go one teaspoon next time for a tasty mild jam.
Beautiful thank you. I used 250g fresh tomatoes and 250g red capsicum and omitted water. I used 3 small red chillis from our garden which gave it a nice spice and added garlic as we use garlic in everything. I think I could’ve safely doubled the batch in my TM5 as I ended up making it twice. Such an easy and delicious recipe. Thanks!!!
I made a batch of this & it’s absolutely delicious! Highly recommended.
One question - does any one know what can be used to replace the vinegar? I know my Dad would love this, but can’t have any vinegar, lemon juice etc due to stomach problems.
I made this exactly to recipe and it made around 300g. I will make a double batch next time so I have more to bottle. Tastes delicious, just the right amount of heat and sweet. Thanks for sharing
This is brilliant! I ended up going with half capsicum and half tomato. Because tomato’s have such a high water content, I left out the water and it turned out brilliantly! I know what everyone is getting for Christmas this year!!
This is simply divine. I used a combo of fresh tomatoes & chillies, capsicum & coconut sugar instead of raw. Delish
Great easy recipe, made 2 small jars. Turned out beautifully, thank you. Tastes good too. 👌
Loved this recipe used 3 fresh chilli's instead of flakes as I had a load of them on my Chilli plants, tasted fantastic just enough heat.🌶
If you like it with more heat another 1 to 2 Chilli's should be enough.
Amazingly delicious & addictive.
