Salted Caramel & Macadamia Sauce

  • 100 grams whole macadamia nuts
  • 220 grams brown sugar
  • 150 grams Butter, From EDC Cookbook
  • 150 grams full fat cream
  • 20 grams organic vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Himalayan salt, or to taste.

Recipe's preparation

    Salted Caramel & Macadamia Sauce
  1. * Chop Macadamia Nuts - 1 or 2 seconds on Turbo.

    * Add remaining ingredients - 15 minutes, Varoma, Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation"  Speed 2 with MC off and replace with basket on top instead.

    * Pour into steralised jar.

     

Tip

Macadamia nuts can be ommited or replaced with toasted cocconut, or nuts of your choice.

Dairy Free Option:

Replace the Butter with Cocconut butter and the Cream with Cocconut Cream

Serving Suggestions:

    This tastes AMAZING! So easy to make, and once I'd popped it into jars in the fridge, it thickened beautifully. I needed to make it for a nut allergic friend, so left out the macadamias and it was still wonderful, but I imagain it would be amazing with them included. This will defintely be my go to salted caramel sauce from now on. tmrc_emoticons.)

    Amazing! Once cooled this thickens up so nicely, and is going to be perfect swirled through my EDC icecream!  Big Smile
