I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
1. Place onion, garlic and apple into mixing bowl and chop 3 secs/ speed 7
2. Scrape down sides, add tomatoes and chop 5 secs/speed 5
3. Add the rest of the ingredients and place the steaming basket on lid instead of MC. Cook for 90 mins/ 100 degrees/speed 2
4. Check the consistency and then cook for another 10 mins/ 120 degrees/ speed 2 or until you achieve the desired consistency (you want it be quite thick, if it is too runny at the end of the cooking time cook for a further 10mins or until it thickens)
4.Poor into sterlised jars and seal immediately. Store in a cool, dark dry place until ready to use.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

I made this today and I ended up with a bowl of liquid. I added 10 minutes to the cooking time twice and it made no difference. Rather than throw it out I have bottled it and will use it as flavouring to casseroles etc. I really don't know why as I followed the recipe
Easy recipe and very nice. Made it for the first time and followed recipe exactly. Thank you.
Made this for the first time. Smelt amazing and tasted delicious
Very nice - thank you. I added a chilli at the onion, garlic & apple stage also.
Great recipe made it today and really happy with the result as I used up a bunch of ripe tomatoes, popped in 1 chilli just for fun, might do that again next time if I have a few in the garden. Just baking bread now and will have this with cold cuts and cheese for a lazy Sunday lunch - perfect!
