Ingredients
Tomato Base
- 1500 g ripe tomatoes
- 1 tsp rock salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 10 g oil
- 2 bay leaves
Vegetable Base
- 2 carrots, roughly chopped
- 2 zucchini, roughly chopped
- 2 potatoes, roughly chopped

Add all ingredients for Tomato base except Bay Leaves and crush 1 min/ speed 10
Add Bay Leaves to bowl
Place Vegetable in Varoma dish to steam
Cook to reduce 40 min/ Varoma Temp / Speed 2
RemoveBay leaves if you desire – they can be left in
Carefully add the steamed Vegetables to the bowl
Describe the preparation steps of your recipe
Blend 1 min/ speed 10. Increase the speed slowly as the liquid in bowl is VERY HOT. (start at speed 3 for 15 sec then up to speed 10 for the remaining time)
Repeat Steps 5 to 7 until desired consistency is achieved. This depends on ripeness of tomato. I usually cook for 60 to 80 minutes in total.
Store in sterilized jars in the fridge

Looks good, I did not have enough tomatoes so I halfed the entire recipie, then there was no need to repeat reduction process
Love this recipe - for pasta sauce, bolognese and pizza topping.
