I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Wash Kale really well and cut thick stem off. Lay leaves on top of one another and roll leaves together like a sausage , then slice / shred really thin. Place shredded Kale into Varoma receptacle and set aside.
Place potatoes, onion, garlic, water and salt into mixing bowl . Put Varoma on top and cook for 20 - 25 mins / Varoma / sp 1.
While soup is cooking, pan fry chorizo slices till nicely browned and set aside.
When soup is done, remove Varoma. Insert MC and slowly take speed up to 8 for 1 min.
Check sesoning for taste.
Add kale, chorizo slices and olive oil into mixing bowl and cook for 2 mins / 100 deg / "Counter-clockwise operation" / sp 1.
Serve with fresh homemade bread

Tip
If soup is too thick you can add a little extra water at the end.

Thanks for your feedback JC-Thermie and happy you enjoyed this dish. What a great idea defrosting while steaming!
Absolutely delicious!! Well done!
Made only some adjustments in terms of quantity.
Used 220g of chorizo, 300g of potato, 280g of kale, 4 garlic cloves and only 15 ml of olive oil. (My kale and chorizo were frozen, which were defrosted in the varoma and chorizo defrosted in the fry pan). Just to show you how practical this recipe is.
Had it with garlic bread.
Very easy, simple, quick, yummo! Adding this recipe to my favourites!
Thanks Quei. It is a beautiful soup! Do you have any other favourites from the book?
I have the Portuguese book and it's just wonderful! I make this soup all the time! Truly yummy!
