Ingredients

Green soup

  • 1 large onion, Cut in half
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 pieces bacon, Rind cut off
  • 25 grams olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon veggie stock
  • 1 tablespoon chicken stock, (or can use 2 teaspoons of chicken stock powder)
  • 1300 grams water
  • 100 grams spaghetti pasta, Snapped into 3-4 cm pieces
  • 1 bunch silverbeet, Washed and roughly chopped up

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. Place onion, garlic and bacon into bowl and chop 5 Seconds / Speed 5 

     

    Scrape down sides of the bowl

     

    Add oil and sautee 7 Minutes / 100 Degrees / Speed Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"  

     

    Add stocks, water and spaghetti, place lid on the bowl and attach varoma dish place silverbeet in the varoma and cook for 25 minutes / Varoma / Speed 1 / Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation"

     

    Place silverbeet into the bowl with soup and serve 

     

    You can season with salt and pepper if desired, best served hot.

Tip

You can add cooked chicken to the soup if you wanted too.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
