- 1 onion, halved
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 cm cube ginger
- 1.5 teaspoon madras curry paste, See my other recipe to make this
- 100 g yellow split peas, rinsed
- 1 zucchini
- 1 carrot
- 170 g mushrooms
- 1 stalk Celery
- 0.9-1 litre water
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable stock paste
- 120 ml cream/milk/yoghurt

- 1. Chop garlic and ginger and set aside
- 2. Chop onion
- 3. Add oil, cook 3 minutes, 100C, speed 1
- 4. Add in garlic and ginger, madras curry paste and cook 2 minutes, 100C, speed 1
- 5. Weigh in split peas, then coat in spices, 1 minute, reverse, speed 1
- 6. Add zucchini, carrot, mushrooms and celery and chop speed 6, 7 seconds
- 7. Cook for 2 minutes, 100C, speed 1
- 8. Add stock paste and water up to max mark, cook 30-60 minutes (lesser time if you have pre soaked the lentils), 100C, speed 1-2 with basket instead of MC
- 9. Blend 1 minute, speed 9
- 10. Add cream/milk or serve with yoghurt

Great recipe!
Love that this soup is not only tasty but super healthy too! My family loves it including my 2 year old. We don't always have madras paste in the fridge but any curry paste seems to work - i just reduce the amount of paste so my little one can handle it
