Ingredients
Gefilte Fish
- 750 grams Mixed white fish - cod, halibut etc.
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1/2 carrot, sliced
- handful parsley, (optional)
- ¼ cup Matzoh Meal
- 2 Eggs., beaten
- Salt, pepper, red pepper
Fish broth
- 500 grams Fish bones, Fish scraps
- 1 onions
- 3 carrots, peeled
- 1-2 stalks Celery
- 1 Handful parsley
- kosher salt, peppercorns, bay leaves
- Hot pepper, (optional)
- 3 bay leaves

Put sliced onion and carrot with parsley into thermomix jug.
Process for 8 seconds at speed 6, scrape down jug with spatula, process again for 6 seconds at 6 until finely chopped.
Remove and put in bowl.
Cut fish into 3-4 cm cubes.
Put into thermomix jug and process at speed 5 for 20 seconds.
Scrape down walls, add vegetables, Matzoh meal and eggs, and process at speed 5 for 30 seconds, scrape down walls.
Season with salt, pepper and hot pepper
Put fish bones and scraps, vegetables, parsley, salt, pepper and spices and just cover with water.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 40 minutes.
Strain, discard fish bones and scraps, reserve carrots and onions and spices.
Taste broth for salt and seasoning and put broth and reserved spices into Thermomix jug, 30 minutes Varoma, speed 1.
Wet hands and form gefilte fish mixture into 6 centimeter long ovals or desired shape and put in Varoma and Varoma tray, place on top of jug, cook for ± 20 minutes or until cooked through.
In the meantime, slice carrots into discs.
Put Gefilte Fish, carrots and onions into container large enough to hold them together with broth.
Broth should be dense, if it's too watery, let cook at Varoma temperature (measuring cup off) for 5-10 minutes.
Cover Fish, vegetables and spices with broth and put in refrigerator after cooling.
Serve with sliced carrots and kren.

Tip
If you can't fit all the gefilte fish in the varoma and tray you can put some in the strainer too.
For a larger quantity, cook the traditional way (in a pot) and process half of the fish at a time.
