Delicious. I used extra cheese and plenty of salt and veg: cabbage, parsley, spring onion, lettuce and leek - a little of every thing. Used gf flour. Worked perfectly and delicious. Cooked on med high heat with butter.
I was so hoping these would be a massive winner but I found them a bit bland and the kids were not overly impressed. It is still definitely worth a go though and will try with some other flavours.
This is the second time I have made these, and yet again they were polished off by everyone.
The spelt makes them nice and light. So quick and easy, great recipe.
Made these (with a few ingredient variants mainly because it was what I had an needed to go) -
added a bit more cheese
used fresh corn from 3 cobs
swapped zuchinni for green beans
changed ham for the last of some caramalised onions
added an extra egg (husband waffle disaster from yesterday - let's just say seperation didn't go well!)
reduced the milk
used Gluten Free flour
WHAT A WINNER! Thank you for giving me the base to work with, perhaps I should add my own recipe...!
