Ingredients

Spinach and Cheese Burek

  • 250 g vegetable oil
  • 250 g Greek yoghurt
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 g spinach
  • 500 g ricotta cheese
  • 1 package Filo Pastry
  • 60 g Butter
  • heaped teaspoon poppy seed

Recipe's preparation

    Egg Mixture
  1. In a separate bowl combine the Spinach, Australian Feta, Ricotta

    (Optional) - Chop the spinach
  2. Oil pan and cover with a layer of filo pastry
  3. Brush egg mixture on the filo pastry
  4. Add / Sprinkle spinach mixture ( Not all the mixture, because you will repeat this process several times)
  5. Scope some egg mixture and pour on top of the layer
  6. Repeat layering until all the ingredients have been used
  7. Brush the final filo pastry with the egg mixture
  8. Cut the filo pastry to desired sizes to serve before baking
  9. Sprinkle poppy seeds on top
  10. Bake for 25-30 until golden brown
  11. Once the burek is cooked, sprinkle some water on top and pour the melted butter over the burek and let it sit for about 5 min before serving
