I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- Collect edible flowers and herbs and press between baking paper under some books for around an hour before baking
- Preheat oven to 160 degrees
- Please sugar, lime peel and orange peel in Tm Bowl and blitz 20secs speed 9
- Add butter and vanilla to sugar and cream 2 mins speed 4 (scraping down if need be)
- Add flour and salt to TM Bowl and mix 30 secs speed 4. scrape down sides, mix a further 30 secs speed 4 (using spatula to assist in stiring if need be)
- Remove dough from bowl and if hot weather place in clingwrap in fridge till firm. In Tas where I live I dont always need to do this step. Cut dough into 2 balls, roll flat and cut into little shapes
- With the flowers you have 2 choices:
1. brush the top of the biscuits with egg white and press flower on top then sprinkle with sugar and bake. This method is best when using not perfectly flat flowers though they do lose a little colour in baking
2. when biscuits are hot from oven quickly and gently press the flowers onto the top (works well with pansies and retains colour) then sprinkle with sugar - When baking cook for 10-15 mins (till edges are judt turning golden). then cool on tray for 5 mins before cooling on a rack

TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
