I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- 1. Place all ingredients except the oil and salt and chop 10secs/speed 6. Scrape down sides of bowl and repeat process to successfully chop up ingredients.
2. Add salt and oil and cook 20mins/120C/speed 1. If you hear scratching don't be concerned, (it's the rock salt breaking up which is another way to clean stubborn stains from your bowl bottom.)
3.Turn up the speed 1min/speed5-9, gradually, or until a smooth consistency and no lumps.
4.Transfer into a vessel until it cools enough to handle.
5. Place into a dehydrator or oven to dehydrate.
6. Once completely dry place back into TM and mill 2secs/speed 10 or until it's milled to your liking.
7. Place into a container and keep in the pantry.
Preparation.
Tip
You can dehydrate any of the stock pastes into powders, thus making more room in the fridge. I add less salt as salt is the preservative and with it being dry, less salt is needed.
People who have macular degeneration are encouraged to increase the greens in their diets. They are prescribed capsules which are expensive so making our own is a cost saver.

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
