- 2 oranges
- 4 eggs
- 160 grams raw sugar
- 300 grams almonds
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground

1. Place 1 litre of boiling water into TM bowl. Insert the steaming basket and put the 2 whole oranges into the basket. Cook for 30 minutes on Varoma temperature on speed 3. When the oranges are ready, set aside.
2. Preheat oven to 180°C.
3. Place almonds in bowl and mill for 10 seconds on speed 7. Set aside.
4. Place sugar in TM bowl and mill for 4 seconds on speed 9. Set aside.
5. Cut oranges into quarters. Remove pips and end pieces. Place into TM bowl Speed 8 for 10 seconds or until a smooth consistency. Set aside.
6. Place eggs and sugar in TM bowl. Speed 4 for 1 minute (until thick and pale).
7. Grease a 20cm square tin and line the base with baking paper.
8. Add orange, almond meal, baking powder and cinnamon. Mix on Speed 4 for 26 seconds.
9. Spoon into prepared tin and bake at 180°c for 50 mins (or until a skewer inserted into centre comes out clean). Set aside in pan to cool completely.
Tip
Cut cake and add a dollop of plain or Greek yoghurt to serve

Yum! I used sunflower seeds instead of almonds and it worked a treat. I added 80gm coconut sugar and a dash of maple syrup.
Oh yum this is delicious. I like the 'less sugar' version.
what an amazing cake! so tasty, the whole oranges give it a really different flavour. I steamed baby carrots while the oranges were cooking and they got a delicious citrus flavour.
