  • Butter, softened
  • caster sugar for dusting
  • 7 blood plums, halved and stoned
  • 50 grams plain flour
  • 60 grams caster sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essense
  • 250 grams cream
  • 3 eggs

Recipe's preparation

    Pudding
  1. Preheat Oven to 180 degrees.

    Grease an 8 cup capacity oven proof dish with butter and dust with sugar.

    Place plums in dish, cut side up.

    Place flour, sugar, vanilla and cream in bowl and mix on sp.4 for 10 seconds.

    Add eggs and mix on sp. 4 for 20 seconds until smooth.

    Pour the mixture around the plums in the dish and bake for 35  - 40 minutes or until pudding is puffed up and golden. Serve hot with ice cream.

    We used tinned plums and it was delish, and oh so easy!!

    This just didn't work for me at all. The dough was rubbery and didn't rise even though it was cooked through fine. Maybe I used the wrong plums, but it wasn't sweet either. Sorry, just not nice at all

    I made this tonight - my first clafouti!  It turned out perfectly and was delicious!  Thanks for the great recipe.  I think I'll try cherries next time.  Yum!
