I'm cooking this todayTip
Can be served warm, or cold. My fav is cold! I like to make a batch, & store it in the fridge - it's great for snacks/treats, & school lunches!
I find some Arborio rice stays crunchy (I have no idea why) & prefer to use SunRice Medium Grain Rice instead which works extremely well.

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

Really Beautiful dessert! Tastes SO good, and as mentioned in tips - is perfect served cold too!
I used Jasmine rice the few times I've made it and that's been great.
Just made this and it's super yummy! Definitely agree with Arborio rice being a bit crunchy. This version with medium grain rice is beautiful and creamy.
How does it last in the fridge?
Really yummy! First time I made as written and it was a bit runnier than we like so next time I increased rice to 200g and it was perfect. You can make this super economically by filling bowl with water up to 1 litre mark and adding in 140g milk powder instead of using milk.
Kwasie: 60 minutes is sufficient. It may be the rice you're using - some aborio stays crunchy despite how long you cook it for.... If this is the case for you - try medium grain rice instead

Absolutely yummy! Thanks Thermomumma as usual. Made as stated with half the spices due to husbands tastes and it was sooooo delicious!
Needs longer cooking. Cooked for 1 hour then another 20mins, still rice could have done with more cooking"Gentle stir setting"
We love this recipe!!!
the kids love it in their lunchbox
We absolutely love this recipe! It's great as a dessert and also as an alternative to porridge for breakfast.
Was a little runny for my family so added slightly more rice and slightly less milk the next time I made it. Delicious 😋 on a weekly rotation in my family.
