Ingredients

  • 1 onion, small (chopped in half)
  • 250 grams Beef mince
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 carrot, small (roughly chopped)
  • 4 tsp chia seeds
  • 1-2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • 1/2 tbsp oil

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Add onion, garlic, carrot and herbs to TM bowl - 5 sec SP7, scrape down sides, 5 sec SP7. Scrape down sides

    2. Add oil - Varoma, 3 mins, Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" SP1. MC off

    3. Add mince, sesame seeds, chia seeds and egg - Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" 20 Sec SP1. The mixture will seem quite wet but will hold together

    4. Shape in to 6 (large) or 12 (small) rissoles and plae on a non-stick tray or plate and allow to rest in fridge uncovered for 1 hour. This will allow the chia seeds to absorb some of the extra moisture. 

    5. Cook in a fry pan or on the barbecue with a little oil. Press down when in the pan to flatten out. Cook 4-6 minute either side depending on the thickness.

    Thank you for this recipe. I added some chilli for a bit of bite. You could add all sorts of extras if you wanted to this recipe, feta cheese wouls be good. I used capsicum instead of carrot. I mixed all the ingredients with a spatula in the bowl. I find doing it with the blades with mince beef on speed one does not mix the ingredients at all and if you turn the it up you end up with mush. Takes 1 minute to manually mix. I cooked them in the oven and served with salad. Easy.
