I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

Shazza's Sticky Pork Spare Ribs or Pork Belly
  1. Add 4 peeled garlic cloves and ginger to bowl (about 20 cent piece size of ginger) and 1 chilli deseeded if you prefer.

    Chop 3 secs speed 7.

Add all other ingredients except the Pork and mix for 10 seconds on speed 5.

Add Pork Belly cut into 1.5cm wide portions or Pork spare ribs and and stir with spatula to coat the meat.

Cook on Varoma reverse speed 1 for 25 minutes.

Turn oven on to 200 degrees to pre heat.

When pork has finished cooking remove the meat pieces and put on a lined baking tray.

Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes until crisp and sticky.

While the meat is cooking cook the sauce for a futher 10 to 15 minutes on Varoma temp speed one with simmering basket on top of bowl.

    Sauce will reduce and thicken.

When finished add pork to Thermoserver and coat with sauce.

    Suitable for TM31 and TM5.

Tip

I like to double the sauce mixture and add to 1 kilo of Pork Belly or Ribs and freeze for a quick and easy meal next time

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
