Ingredients

Pastry

  • 300 grams plain flour
  • 150 grams Butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 100 grams water

Filling

  • 400 grams pure cream
  • 400 grams blue cheese, crumbled
  • 6 --- egg yolks

Recipe's preparation

    Dough
  1. Place all dough ingredients into mixing bowl and mix 30secs/speed4.

    Place onto lightly floured surface or thermomat and combine into a small bowl.

    Place into fridge for 15 minutes to chill before rolling.

  2. Filling
  3. Heat cream in thermomix bowl for six minutes 90deg/ speed 1

    Add in blue cheese and mix seven minutes 90deg/speed 2.

    After five minutes of above time, slowly add in egg yolks to cream and cheese mix. 

    The cook out for three minutes 90deg/speed two.

  4. Making it!
  5. Preheat oven to 180degrees.

    Prepare a tart tin with removable base insert, by spraying lightly with cooking oil and lining base with greasproof paper.

    Roll out pastry till 4mm thick then place into tart tin. Prick base with a fork all over, then trim edges till neat.

    Pour in cheese mixture then bake in oven till golden brown and nolonger wobbly in the centre. Approximately 35-40 mins.

    Allow to cool slightly before serving. Best served warm.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
