Ingredients
Chickpea Gravy
- 320 g Canned Chickpeas
- 3-4 cloves garlic
- 1 Brown Onion - Large, Quartered and sliced
- 20 g olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Coriander
- 50 g tamari
- 1 lemon, juice
- 35 g Nutritional Yeast Flakes
- 45 g spelt flour
- 500 g filtered water

Place water, flour and nutritional yeast into mixing bowl. Blend 30 sec/speed 6 and set aside.
Place 260g of the chickpeas in mixing bowl and pulse two times 1sec/"Closed lid" /Turbo. Set aside with remaining chickpeas.
Place garlic in mixing bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 7.
Add onion and oil to mixing bowl. Saute' 3 min/veroma/speed 1 "Counter-clockwise operation" . After three minutes, stir onions and saute' for a further 2min/veroma/speed 1 "Counter-clockwise operation" .
Add herbs, spices, tamari and lemon juice to mixing bowl. Mix to combine 20 sec/speed 2 "Counter-clockwise operation" .
Add the chickpeas and the water that had been put aside at the start to the mixing bowl. Cook the gravy 10 min/100 degrees/speed 1 "Counter-clockwise operation" .
After cooking for 10 min, scrape down the sides and give the gravy a good stir. Cook for a futher 7 min/100 degrees/speed 1 "Counter-clockwise operation" .
Enjoy the gravy as a main dish served with mashed potato or roast veg.

It was a delicious gravy, will make it again
yummy
I love gravy so I was interested in trying this with my roast vegies. Worked well and was even better when I added the leftover gravy to fried mushrooms for mushies on toast. Which made me think I might add some mushrooms next time I make it.
