Ingredients

  • 1 onion, cut in half
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 red chilli
  • 1 bunch parsley / coriander
  • 400 gram Tin crushed tomatoes
  • 150 grams bacon, rind removed and cut into large pieces
  • 30-50 grams oil
  • 100 grams white wine
  • 500 grams water
  • 2 tablespoon Stock Concentrate
  • 1 sprig basil
  • 300 grams penne pasta, or your favourite

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place onion, garlic, chilli and parsley/coriander into TM bowl and chop for 5 seconds on speed 7.

    Add bacon and chop for 2 seconds on speed 6.

     Add oil and saute for 2 mintues at 100 C on speed 1.

    Add tomatoes, basil, wine, water and stock and cook for 10 minutes at 100C on speed 1.

    Add pasta and cook for 10 minutes at 100C on Reverse + speed soft.

     

    Add the tomatoes, wine, water and stock and cook for 10 minutes at 100C on speed 1

     

Tip

Serve with a sprinkle of fresh Parmesan cheese

    Lovely rich tasting but not too heavy. I only made the sauce part leaving out the water. Cooked it for 20 mins instead and poured it over gnocchi. Family loved it. Thank you!

    Fantastic recipe, I made my own pasta rather than store bought and it came out a treat. Hubby and I recently went to Italy for our honeymoon and he was absolutely blown away by this recipe, said it took him back to Italy  Big Smile Thankyou

    This is a really good recipe! I thought it had too much liquid at the end, but by the time we were eating it (not that long after cooking) the pasta had absorbed more of the liquid and it was perfect. It tasted like a rich meaty sauce, which was so surprising because there is only 150gms of bacon. I did cook it for an extra 5 mins because the pasta was still raw after the 10mins. Great meal! Well done!
