I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Add cashews to mixing bowl and mill down for 20 seconds / speed 10
Scrape down sides of bowl then add grape seed oil. Mix through for 10 seconds / speed 6 or until it forms a paste.
Add remaining Vegemite ingredients and mix through for 30 seconds / speed 5. This should be your Vegemite tasting paste complete. Set aside but do not worry about cleaning the bowl.
Insert butterfly and place cream in bowl.
Whip for 3 min / speed 4. Solids and liquids should come away from each other. Remove the butterfly.
Use the TM basket to strain the solids from the liquids! I also push gently or squeeze through my washed hands.
You can add the buttefly again then return the solids to the mixing bowl and add water.
Mix for 15 seconds / speed 4. Liquids and solids should be separate again.
Use the TM basket to strain the liquid again. Re-add solids to the bowl.
Then add 250g of your pre-prepared Vegemite past and whip for 1 minute speed 4.
Remove the butterfly, scrape the bowl down and mix through for a further 30 seconds on speed 7 or until all well combined.
You should now have a combined buttery paste. This hardens when refrigerated.

Butter preparation
Tip
This butter spread is ideal for toast or sandwiches. It also tastes great on crackers. It is a combination of a homemade Vegemite paste with butter therefore only one layer needed. Would also be great for savoury type scrolls with some cheese. Store in air tight container in fridge.

Yes you can stop at that step and not mix through the butter! It has a stronger taste when not mixed through but it's quote nice I think!
Do you have to mix the vegemite with the butter? ie-can you stop after step 3 and use as is?
Seems to have been a big hit at the meeting today!
