Ingredients
Chocolate and orange marble cake
- 1 orange, rind and juice
- 300g sugar
- 300g Flour, Plain
- 1t bicarbonate of soda
- 3t baking powder
- 250g soft butter
- 200g yoghurt
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons Milk
- *2 heaped tablespoons cocoa powder
- *50g choc chips
- *2 tablespoon orange juice

- 1. Preheat the oven 160°C fan/ 180°C regular.
Grease well a large baba/gugelhupf pan.
2. Place orange rind in the "Closed lid" and blitz on Turbo 3-5 times. set aside.
3. Add sugar and blitz Turbo x 5.
4. Add all the remaining unstarred ingredients
5. Blend sp5/1 min, scrape and repeat for 30 secs.
6. Place 1/2 the mixture in another bowl.
7. To the remaining ingredients in the "Closed lid" , add the cocoa powder and blend sp4/20 seconds.
8. Scrape and add choc chips, blend sp3/"Counter-clockwise operation" /8-10 secs.
9. Tip into prepared tin.
10. Add the orange rind and juice to the remaining mixture and mix by hand (remember those..? , until well combined.
11. Spread over the top of the chocolate mixture and then swirl gently with a skewer to create the pattern in the cake.
12. Bake for 1h- 75mins, until a skewer comes out clean.
13. Leave in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool.

This is a delightfully sweet, moist cake.
Perfect with a coffee or tea.
Keeps well and can be frozen.
Delicious with a chocolate ganache coating also, or just dusted with icing sugar.
