I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- 1. Measure the oats into a large bowl on top of the Thermomix . MC out. Tare the scales first before measuring out the oats.
2. Place 360g of the oats into the "Closed lid" and blend 7secs/sp7.
3. Transfer to the large bowl with the remaining oats.
4. Place the large bowl on top of the Thermomix, tare the scales, and measure the remaining ingredients into it ( except for the peanut butter).
At this stage you are using the TMX as scales only.
5. Remove the large bowl and combine all the ingredients thoroughly. I find clean hands work best.
6. You can now transfer the mixture in 1/2 cup portions into zip-lock bags for individual serves.
Or transfer the mixture into a large airtight container.
7. To serve:
~Empty a sachet (or 1/2 cup portion) into a bowl.
~Add 200mls of water and stir well.
~Cook in the microwave for 2mins on high.
~Stir and serve with the peanut butter swirled through and a dash of milk if desired.

Tip
An economical and tasty way to serve individually portioned breakfast oats.
Adjust the the sugar to taste. Feel free to add less sugar if you prefer. You can always add it later. I find making it up this way, I don't need to add any extra sweetener once served. Your choice.
Try it with sliced banana, pb and honey... Mmmm..

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Fantastic! My favourite Uncle Toby's Roasted hazelnut and cinnamon instant porridge has been discontinued. Well thats not a problem now because this porridge is better and cheaper. I added 150 g hazelnuts and its perfect. 1/3 cup with 1/2 cup milk, 90 sec in the microwave.
Thanks Thermify me.
Great simple way to make porridge each morning.
I reduced the sugar by half as I like to add a little maple syrup once cooked.
When I make the batch up I store in 1 container and scoop out 1/2 cup each morning into my bowl.
Delicious!!
Wow... tastes great and what a time and money saver!
