I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Add butter and flour to bowl and combine 20 sec / sp 4.
2. Add oats, sugar and coconut and mix 5 sec / sp 4, scrape, repeat and set aside.
3. Quarter the apples and slice into three (see tip) and add to bowl.
4. Add water and spices and cook 10 min / 100 / "Counter-clockwise operation" / "Gentle stir setting" .
5. Preheat oven to 180 if cooking straight away.
6. Check the apples are soft and drain any excess water.
7. Place apples in oven proof dish and cover with crumble mix and cook for 30 minutes.
Tip
I quarter the apples and then slice into three pieces to give nice chunky consistency. If you want it more mushy, cut them smaller.

TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

This did not turn out for me as I had hoped! The crumble didn't brown and stayed floury despite starting to burn in places. Also not very sweet and became mushy in places.
Made this was not impressed.
Loved it!
Really nice cake, perfect with custard for dessert or on its own.
First time ever making Apple crumble. This was quick and easy and a hit with the family. I think next time I will swap more oats with the flour and make the crumble more coarse.
Not impressed!
Made this recipe tonight. Very dry and floury, would not set or brown even though it was in the oven for an hour. The only thing I omitted was the coconut. I finished up binning it as no one would eat it!
Hi i made this last week.it was...yum!next time i have to double the recipe as it was too little for a big family!.i used coconut flakes, definitley gonna skip the coconut flakes.it ruins the taste.thank you so much!!!
RECOMENDED!
Great recipe just like my grandmother made it perfect with some cream on a cold winters night all my kids loved it too . A new simple way to use up left over apples whilst in isolation .
Absolutely delicious! Will most definitely be making this one again. Thanks for a great recipe.
I didn't have coconut, so used walnuts instead. I added the cinnamon and nutmeg to the crumble mix. Also, I used a tin of pie Apples and put them in the oven dish, topped with the crumble mix. I found that it wasn't crunching up, so dobbed some butter over the top. Is still didn't crunch up, but gave it a nice color.
i added some rhubarb out of mygarden and sliced in a banana for added sweetnes - *reduced the sugar
this was amazing and went well with Thermomix Fruity Dream
